Ride BMX is the largest internationally distributed BMX magazine. The current issue is the 150th issue, and there is an 8 page article I wrote about my local trails.
Basset trails have been around in one way or another for almost 20 years, My friends Mike C., Kevin Rieley and I have been keeping them alive for the last 12 or so years.
With jumps no smaller than 10 feet across and a ton of trees to weave in and out of, basset trails are the most technical trails in CT.

I have been riding for almost 20 years and I love BMX as much today as I did when I started. Literally every single one of my best friends were met through BMX.
BMXers are a tight community, we take care of each other when ever necessary.
Just a few weeks ago a good friend of mine and one of the most revered bike riders in the whole world, Mike Aitken fell to his head on a huge jump in the woods in Pennsylvania. Mike spent six days in a coma and is still fighting through his tough recovery. Within a few hours if his wreck the news spread all over the world and within a day almost every skate park, bike shop and BMX company have began arranging events to raise donations to help with Mikes hospital bills.
Get well soon Mike
