A day at Bosco’s Bridal Fair

12 01 2009

Yesterday January 11th was a long day. After few hours of sleep my wife Lindsay, Mike Ciarleglio and I set out in the early morning on the icy roads for Stamford, CT where we were vendors at Bosco’s Bridal fair. We took a different approach with our booth, as there were six or seven other photographers scheduled to be there we chose a location that would filter the visitors to us near the end of their walk through the show. We did this because I wanted them to see the other photographers first and I wanted them to see how we were different. We set up a backdrop and some flashes so that we could offer people free engagement photos or just a free picture with who ever they were with. We took their information and gave them ours. Tonight I will upload all their photos to my website and send out a mass email letting them know their pictures are up. If nothing else this will get them to my website and let them see more of what my work looks like than what they were able to see at the show.
Although the weather may have hurt the turnout at the show yesterday if just one bride hires us it will get us one step closer to being the most sought after wedding photographers in CT.
I’m aware that our style is not for every bride but the ones looking for an unobtrusive and artistic photographer to shoot their wedding and produce beautiful story telling photos then it’s all a matter of time and word of mouth till we get the recognition we deserve.
At this point with all the weddings we’ve done, there has not been one single bride, groom or family member that was disappointed in us and for that matter it’s a normal thing for the bride and the bride & grooms parents to hug and kiss me at the end of the night. It only takes a matter of minutes after we arrive on a wedding day for everyone around to forget that we were strangers.
If not for our ability to photograph a wedding above and beyond what our clients expect you will love us for our professionalism, good nature and ease to be around.

My 29th Birthday Party

16 12 2008

December Tenth, Two Thousand and Eight was the day I turned 29. I can always count on my friends from Massachusetts to throw me a party.
Now that two of my friends have kids the parties are a bit different. My friends have the coolest kids, John and Melissa with their little Anja and Andy and Heather with their Spitfire Logan. Next year John and Melissa will have another little mush and Burger and Leigh will be popping out their first bun which they are calling Quinn.
You can expect that my wife Lindsay and I will stick with our furry kids for quite some time.
Here are a few photos from my party and you can see the rest at Mattys Birthday Gallery

My house is a Zoo… Literally.

8 12 2008

Six cats a dog, two fish tanks and now a hedgehog.
I was a little bummed at first because I didn’t want any more animals but this thing is really cute, and it’s really nice.
There isn’t really much to say that the pictures can’t so enjoy.

Thanksgiving day photo shoot

3 12 2008

The one down side of being a professional photographer is you are always expected to take pictures at every family event. Starts off as a hassle but always ends up being fun. Take a bunch of kids under ten and add two over twenty (my wife and I) and put them on a trampoline and this is what you get.
